Having been involved in the computer business since around 1985 I have experience in many areas so please check whether I can help with your specific case. I have been a self employed consultant for over 20 years.  I began as a professional Expert Witness in October 2008, and my first case turned into what is now possibly the largest, longest running and most expensive civil High Court Case in Ireland's history.  (Case Won)

I am / have been a contracted consultant to HSBC, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, SBC Warburg, UBS, Commercial Union, Charteris PLC, PowerGen PLC, EG Solutions PLC (provider for Aviva, Standard Bank (South Africa), Direct Line insurance etc)

I am a Published Technical Author and have covered all industry roles including Senior Analyst / Developer, Team Leader, Technical Authorship, PC Hardware expert, Relational Database Design expert, Certified SQL Expert (SQL Server, Sybase and MySQL/LAMP) Test cycles and test case development and execution.


Work History

 I have been a professional troubleshooter and bespoke software developer for 25 years, mainly in the Banking, Finance and Insurance arenas. 

I have a solid understanding of the business ethics, functionality needs, specification requirements, hardware and software requirements of these industries and a deep understanding of the use of computer systems in Reporting, Unit Trusts,  Valuations, T/A systems, Annuities systems, Pensions systems, Risk systems, Futures systems, and Hedge funding on Windows and Unix and Linux based systems and the movement of information between these systems.

I have developed several websites on different platforms (Windows / LAMP) and can offer services regarding analysis and valuation of "system delivered vs actual requirement" assignments as well as the same expertise in standard Client/Server Applications.

I present the facts and my opinions, clearly and concisely in written and verbal reports and subsequently have given Evidence in court to support these reports.
